Vaya con dios란 영어로는 "go with god"라는 뜻을 가진 벨기에 출신의 혼성
그룹이다. Vaya Con Dios는 데뷔 당시에는 Dani Klein과 더크쇼우프스(콘트라
베이스), 윌리 람벡트(기타)로 구성되었다. 이들의 첫싱글 'Just a Friend
Of Mine'이 큰 히트를 기록하면서 그들의 이름이 세상에 알려지기 시작했다.
그러나 1, 2집을 프로듀스한 창립멤버 더크 쇼우프스가 세상을 떠나자 한때
실의에 빠지기도 했던 다니 클래인은 작곡은 물론, 프로듀서까지 혼자 이뤄낸
3집 Time Files를 발매하고 이어 픽립 알레르와 공동 프로듀스한 앨범
Heading For a Fall을 발매해 그녀의 바야 콘 디오스의 건재함을 과시하며
작곡과 프로듀스까지 무리 없이 소화해 내는 '원우먼 밴드(?)'인 Vaya Con
Dios의 탄생을 알렸다.
베스트 앨범 "Best Of Vaya Con Dios" 에는 베스트 앨범답게 이전의 앨범들
에서 에센스만을 뽑아놓은 앨범으로서 팝, 재즈, 블루스, 소울 등 다양한
장르의 음악을 총 망라 하고 있으면서도 어느 한 부분 어색함이나 미숙함이
느껴지지 않는 고급스러움 이야말로 그녀 음악의 매력이다.

유명한 'Whats' A Woman', 가스펠적인 느낌이 강한 'Something's Got A
